Traditional games in our Erasmus+ project

The Erasmus+ students of our school (Experimental General Lyceum of Heraklion) conducted a research project on the spring term of the school year 2015-16 on the topic of Greek traditional games, for the etwinning project "Meet your neighbors". When they completed their research, they wrote a detailed assignment and they created videos demonstrating how the games are played. Those videos were uploaded on twinspace page of our approved Erasmus+ project

On April 11th and 13th 2016, during Erasmus+ exchange week, the demonstration of traditional games took place in one hour of Physical Education subject. The Greek students showed and explained the rules of each game to the students from Finland and Spain and then all students played together. The games were: "tyflomyga" where one student is blindfolded and tries to catch and then recognize the others, b) "Germaniko" where two teams try to aim at each other with a ball.

Furthermore,  a volleyball match was played between mixed teams of all participating countries. One team consisted of students and the other of teachers. It took place in a friendly atmosphere with all parties enjoying themselves.
