The Great Migration and the end of the Western Roman Empire; a history lesson (Flipped Classroom)

On 20th April 2016 Erasmus+ students from Spain and Finland joined my history class. The students participated in the etwinning project "Meet your neighbors", in the frame of the Erasmus+ "El español, pasaporte entre culturas". The subject matter of the lesson was the Great Migration during 3rd to 5th centuries CE.
All students were divided into groups of 4 or 5 persons in such a way that there were students from all the countries (Greece, Spain, and Finland) in each group.
Spanish and Finnish students were given instructions by their Greek peers, according to a video which presented maps of Europe and the places in which various tribes moved and finally settled during the Great Migration.

Also in the video, there were embedded quiz questions which the students had to answer.
The lesson lasted forty minutes and its purpose was to motivate students with different cultural and historical background to interact with each other.
